The best coffee near KLCC is mostly not inside the mall. Suria KLCC has one or two good counters, but most of the cafés that roast with care, pull a proper double shot and know what a flat white should taste like sit a short walk out, on the quiet lanes off Jalan Yap Kwan Seng, in the office towers of Jalan Pinang, and along Jalan Tun Razak at The Intermark and The Linc. This guide goes street by street from your KLCC apartment, with the walking time, what a flat white costs in 2026, and the hours that matter when you want a cup before a 9am meeting or after a late dinner.

All walking times and prices below come from café reviews published in April and May 2026. Prices marked ++ have service charge and SST added at the till.

Jalan Yap Kwan Seng: the closest neighbourhood cafés

Jalan Yap Kwan Seng, on the edge of the KLCC precinct towards Kampung Baru, is the street where two of our buildings, Scarletz and Star Residences One, stand. If you are staying in either, these two cafés are effectively your local.

After One KL

Tucked into a cul-de-sac at 1 Persiaran Lidcol, After One is about an 11-minute walk from KLCC, with indoor and outdoor seating that works for a slow breakfast. The flat white is a double shot served in a glass, a blend of Brazilian and Tanzanian beans, at RM15.08. Hours are 8am to 9pm Tuesday to Sunday, but only 8am to 4pm on Monday, so plan Monday afternoons elsewhere.

Banyan Cafe & Bistro

At 16 Lorong Yap Kwan Seng, about 13 minutes on foot, Banyan is a garden café downstairs with a bar and lounge upstairs, which explains its hours: it opens at 7am every day and stays open until midnight Sunday to Thursday, and until 2am on Friday and Saturday. The coffee is a fully washed Peruvian single origin from Bean Shipper, and a flat white is RM13.90. It is the one café in this guide that covers both an early start and a nightcap.

Jalan Pinang and Platinum Park: closest to the towers

6 Degrees

The shortest walk on the list, about 10 minutes from KLCC, is up, not out: 6 Degrees sits in the Sky Garden on level 6 of Permata Sapura Tower, Lot 91 Jalan Pinang. It is the cheapest specialty cup in this guide after Klatch, a double-shot flat white of blonde roast at RM11.90, and it serves breakfast from 8am on weekdays and 10am at weekends. It is also new, open only a week when it was reviewed in May 2026, so expect the menu to settle.

Feeka Coffee Roasters, Platinum Park

Feeka, one of the better-known Kuala Lumpur roasters, opened Feeka by the Park on the ground floor of Naza Tower at Platinum Park to serve the KLCC side of the city. The café's own listing gives 8am to 10.30pm, last order 10pm, which makes it the safest evening option close to the park. It roasts its own beans and also runs a café on Jalan Mesui in Bukit Bintang if you are over that way.

Jalan Tun Razak: The Intermark and The Linc

Jalan Tun Razak is the big road east of KLCC, and its two mixed-use blocks, The Intermark and The Linc, hold the densest cluster of good coffee in the area. Both are 15 to 16 minutes on foot from KLCC, or one stop on the LRT to Ampang Park if it is raining.

At The Intermark

  • Leaf's Mark (ground floor, G-07) is about 15 minutes from KLCC, pours a medium-roast blend from Daily Grind at RM14++ for a flat white, and keeps the longest hours in the mall: 8am to 9:30pm on weekdays, 10am to 9:30pm at weekends.
  • Grizzly (Concourse, C-12) is a small espresso bar with its own house blend of Brazilian, Ethiopian, Costa Rican and Mandheling beans, a flat white at RM13, and the earliest weekday opening in the building, 7:30am. Weekends it opens at 10:30am.
  • Feelings+ (Concourse, C-01, behind Boost Juice) serves a naturally processed Ethiopian single origin, with a flat white at RM14.30. Open 8am to 8pm on weekdays and 10am to 6pm at weekends.

At The Linc and Menara Tan & Tan

  • Bean Brothers (G-1, The Linc) offers two house blends, a medium-dark Black Suit and a lighter Ethiopian Velvet White, with a flat white at RM14.84 and pet-friendly outdoor seating. It is open daily 8:30am to 9:30pm, except Tuesdays, when it closes at 6pm.
  • Antipodean (207 Menara Tan & Tan) is an Australian-style brunch café, about 18 minutes from KLCC, open daily from 7am to 5pm. The flat white uses a house Sumatran espresso at RM15++. Note that Antipodean is not halal.

Inside Suria KLCC and on Jalan Ampang

Kenny Hills Coffee

The best everyday cup without leaving the towers is Kenny Hills Coffee, the coffee arm of the well-known Kenny Hills Bakers, at Lot 103B on level 1 of the Petronas Twin Towers complex. Its house blend is a medium roast with notes of hazelnut cookies, chocolate and brown sugar, and it has pastries and cakes from the bakery alongside. It opens at 10am and stays open until 10pm, which makes it the easy choice before the Skybridge or after the fountain show, though not for an early start.

Bacha Coffee

For something more theatrical, Bacha Coffee, the Marrakech-born coffee house, has its first Malaysian outlet at Lot G47 on the ground floor of Suria KLCC. It serves 100% Arabica from more than 30 origins, with a boutique of beans to take home and a terrace. It is the most expensive cup in this guide and more of an occasion than a quick coffee, so treat it as an afternoon stop rather than your daily flat white.

Klatch Coffee House

The best-value specialty cup nearby is at Klatch, Lot 1.64 in Wisma Central on Jalan Ampang, where a flat white of Brazil Cerrado from a Johor Bahru roaster costs RM10.90. It keeps office hours: 8am to 4pm on weekdays, 10am to 4pm on Saturday, closed on Sunday.

Coffee by the clock

  • Before 8am: Banyan and Antipodean open at 7am every day; Grizzly at 7:30am on weekdays.
  • Sunday morning: Banyan, After One, Antipodean and Bean Brothers keep their usual hours. Skip Klatch, which is closed, and expect the cafés in The Intermark and office towers to open at 10am or later.
  • After dinner: Banyan until midnight, or 2am on Friday and Saturday; Feeka by the Park until 10.30pm; Kenny Hills Coffee in Suria KLCC until 10pm; Leaf's Mark until 9:30pm.
