Rooftop Bars Near KLCC: Where to See the KL Skyline

Every list of the best rooftop bars in Kuala Lumpur is really a list of KLCC views: the Petronas Twin Towers are what you came up there to see. The good news, if you are staying in the KLCC area, is that several of those bars are a short walk from your door. The rest are a quick Grab away — and it helps to know which is which before you get dressed.

This guide sorts them that way: the bars you can walk to after dinner, the ones a little further along the Bukit Bintang walkway, and the ones worth a ride.

The best rooftop bars in Kuala Lumpur with a KLCC view, on foot

1. SkyBar, Traders Hotel — the classic tower view

On Level 33 of Traders Hotel, SkyBar faces the Twin Towers across KLCC Park, which makes it the easiest big view in the neighbourhood. It opens from 12pm to 1am Sunday to Thursday, and until 2am on Fridays, Saturdays and the eve of public holidays.

Two rules to know: entry is 21 and over from 9pm, and the dress code is smart casual — no shorts, sleeveless shirts, swimwear, gym wear or slippers. The window cabanas carry a RM200 minimum spend per cabana, fully redeemable on food and drinks. Reservations are held for 15 minutes past the booked time, so arrive on time.

2. Marini's on 57 — when you want to dress up

Marini's sits high in Menara 3 Petronas, right next to the towers, and is split into a bar, a lounge and a restaurant. The bar is strictly smart casual: no shorts or Bermudas for men, no sleeveless tops, no sandals, flip-flops or bulky sports shoes, and no caps. 3. Fuego at Troika Sky Dining — the view with dinner

At Level 23A, Tower B, The Troika on Persiaran KLCC, Fuego has an open-air terrace looking onto the towers. It runs 6pm to midnight daily, with two seatings at 6pm and 8:30pm and last orders at 10:30pm. Booking ahead is recommended; walk-ins have the best luck early or after 9:30pm, when the bar and gazebo shift into late-night lounging. Mr Chew's Chino Latino Bar shares the same floor.

Bar Trigona — not a rooftop, but the best drinks nearby

Inside Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur, next to the towers, Bar Trigona is ranked No. 38 on Asia's 50 Best Bars 2026. It is built around Malaysian ingredients — named after a native stingless bee, with honey throughout the menu. Go for the cocktails rather than the altitude.

A little further: along the Bukit Bintang walkway

4. Satellite Restaurant & Bar, Imperial Lexis — the whole skyline

On the 53rd floor of Imperial Lexis Kuala Lumpur, on Jalan Kia Peng, Satellite takes in the Petronas Twin Towers, KL Tower and Merdeka 118 in one unobstructed view. It opens 5pm to 12am daily. Bookings carry a minimum spend of RM100 per person, the dress code is smart casual (no caps, sandals or flip-flops), and guests under 21 are not admitted after 9pm.

5. Vertigo, Banyan Tree — the highest open-air deck

Just beyond Pavilion KL, Vertigo sits on the 59th floor of Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur with a 270-degree, wide-open setting over the city. It is an evening venue with a smart casual dress code — and the highest open-air seat in this guide.

6. WET Deck, W Kuala Lumpur — pool-deck sundowners

A short walk up Jalan Ampang from Suria KLCC, the W's 12th-floor pool deck frames the Twin Towers as its centrepiece. It is lower and more relaxed than the others, with a smart casual dress code. Check with the hotel on the day whether the deck is open to non-guests that evening.

7. Cacao Mixology & Chocolate, Park Hyatt — the highest bar in this guide

On Level 75 of Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur, inside Merdeka 118, Cacao opened in 2025 with a menu of cacao- and chocolate-led cocktails. It is open daily from 5pm to midnight. Merdeka 118 is across the city centre from KLCC, so take a Grab or the MRT to Merdeka station.

8. Blue at Sky51, EQ Kuala Lumpur — towers and KL Tower together

Up on the 51st floor of EQ Kuala Lumpur on Jalan Sultan Ismail, Blue is the rooftop bar and lounge of Sky51, looking out over the Petronas Twin Towers and KL Tower. It runs 5pm to 1am daily, entry is 21 and over, and the dress code is firm: men need full-length trousers and proper shoes.

9. Heli Lounge Bar, Menara KH — drinks on a helipad

By day it is a working helipad; by night it is a bar. The indoor lounge sits on Level 34 of Menara KH, and two flights of stairs take you up to the open helipad on the 36th floor. The dress code is casual before 9pm and smart casual after.

Before you go: dress codes, age limits and timing

• Dress for the door. Smart casual is the floor almost everywhere. Leave the shorts, singlets and flip-flops in the apartment.
• Bring ID. SkyBar and Satellite are 21 and over after 9pm; Sky51 is 21 and over all night.
• Time the sunset. Sunset in Kuala Lumpur barely moves all year — from 6:57pm at its earliest to 7:29pm at its latest. Arrive about half an hour before to get a seat while the light is still good.
• Watch the sky. Afternoon and evening thunderstorms are common, especially in the inter-monsoon months of April–May and October–November. Open-air decks like Vertigo and the helipad feel it first, so keep an indoor option such as SkyBar or Bar Trigona in mind.
• Book fireworks nights early. On New Year's Eve, rooftops with fireworks views — Sky51, Satellite and WET Deck among them — fill up; reserve as soon as you can.
